Welcome to Spring 2022! As the weather is starting to brighten up and tease us with some warmer days it’s time to get outside and ramp up the Vitamin D intake. There is no better way to add a spring into your step than walking in the sunshine on a daily basis.
In preparation for our Step Challenge month (October), we encourage you to bring your friends and colleagues together and form a team. This team will, together, strive towards achieving 10,000 steps a day for the whole month of October.
This month it’s about choosing people you know will help you commit and you know you will help them too. Start talking about how, when, where and with who you will walk with and map out some SMART goals.
Your goal can go something like this:
We will walk together every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 noon for 40 minutes.
Then put those dates in your calendar and set your reminders. Loop everyone into a messenger or text group and you are all set to go for the start of October!
To keep your legs limber and ready, take your stretch outdoors in September and try logging into Health Breaks from your phone. Find a quiet place and use a spinner to try different stretches on the app.
